CETAMA’s 60 Years Celebration Seminar: Submit your abstracts by June 30, 2021

The 60 years celebration of the CETAMA’s existence will take place in October 2021, in Nîmes, France, with the support of the INSIDER project.

About CETAMA

The Commission d’ETAblissement des Méthodes d’Analyse (CETAMA), a unit of CEA, was created in 1961 by the High Commissioner for Atomic Energy in order to improve the quality of results and to promote good practices within the analytical laboratories of the nuclear sector. It relies on a network of laboratories structured into Thematic Groups (TGs) that currently include more than 30 different organisations. CETAMA is now a reference for nuclear analysis laboratories in France and abroad.

About the Seminar

This seminar  underlines and illustrates the contribution of an international network in analytical chemistry and metrology and provides an opening towards R&D future trends for analytical laboratories in the field of low-carbon energy.

The seminar topics are divided into five specific sessions:

  • Session 1: Needs and challenges
  • Session 2: Metrological traceability: primary methods and reference materials
  • Session 3: Interlaboratory comparisons
  • Session 4: Recent advances in the CETAMA network
  • Session 5: Innovations and directions in analytical chemistry and metrology

The seminar programme will be available on the CETAMA website from 25 May.

Submit your abstracts for the poster session

A poster session will be organised on the second day to complement the oral presentations. Different topics will be addressed: analytical developments, work of CETAMA thematic groups, inter-laboratory comparisons, reference materials, decommissioning/dismantling, radionuclide speciation, in situ analyses, innovations, safeguards. The deadline for submission of abstracts is 30 June 2021.
